I can’t believe I nearly passed up what was to be the best shopping experience of my life!  I truly felt like a princess and loved every minute of trying on the gorgeous gowns.  By the end of a frantic three day search I had (for sure this time) found the dress….

So after my mum consoled me of my original dress disaster I set to work with my stack of bridal magazines, searching for ideas.  I absolutely loved Jenny Packham, Eli Saab, and Claire Pettibone but these were all out of my price range.

The other dress (now named) was embellished, satin, white and too over the top for me.  So I set out to look for something simple and elegant.  My first stop was Suzanne James in Cardiff where I tried on a beautiful ivory lace fishtail by Pronovias, which was stunning but not for me.

I searched through all of the bridal shops in the centre of Cardiff trying on various styles and found a beautiful selection in Timeless Elegance where I fell in love with two dresses.  The first was from the Agnes Bridal Platinum Collection and the second La SposaSugar.  Neither were simple and plain like I was looking for, but both were spectacular with embellished crystals and delicately covered with lace elements.

I went back the next day to try them both on again, and decide which one to pick, but noticed a shop I had missed opposite Cardiff Castle called Perfection Bridal.  I went in hoping to rule it out immediately and go back and pick from my two dresses, but inside there it was, my dress.  It was nothing like the other two, and was simple and elegant.  As soon as I put it on, my mum and I couldn’t agree more that this was the one for me.
