What are your favourite winter colours?
I am normally anti anything Christmas before December, but the phrase ‘if you can’t beat em, join em’ comes to mind. It’s just EVERYWHERE already.
So yes, rather than fight it, I will just join in with the holiday cheer, that little bit too early.
Last year I decided I wanted a Christmas jumper a few days before Christmas day, when you couldn’t get one anywhere. So this year I’ve been on the look out early to ensure I get my Christmas jumper!
I thought I would share my favourites with you below. Please let me know if you find any other good ones!
Primark – I heart Santa Christmas Jumper £12.00
Primark – Polar Bear Christmas Jumper £12.00
Next – Fun Reindeer Sweater Christmas Jumper £28.00
New Look – Pale Blue Polka Dot Christmas Pudding Jumper £27.99
New Look – Black Sequin Christmas Tree Jumper £19.99
F&F at Tesco – Winter Scene Christmas Jumper £18.00
Riverisland – White Christmas Fair Isle Jumper £35.00
Peacocks – Reindeer Print Christmas Jumper £16.00
My friend recently won a competition, and the prize was £200 gift card for ANY chosen shop. How exciting! I made lots of suggestions and urged her to treat herself, but in the end she opted for a DIY store so she could make some home improvements. What!?!?!?
I’m sure you can relate to my disappointment on behalf of said friend, who I believe should have splurged it all on a handbag or glam pair of shoes. Anyway, when she was asking for my advice initially, it was quite enjoyable to think about what I would do if it were mine.
After toying with my imaginary gift card, I settled for Topshop. I would just like to add that at no point did a DIY/supermarket/home textiles store cross my mind as an option.
So here’s what I would buy from Topshop….
Floral Jaquard PJ Trousers £38.00
Flat Stud Purse £30.00
Black Stone Collar £7.50
Lips in Wicked £8.00
Nails in Circus £6.00
See it all on Pintrest
If you won a £200 gift card for anywhere, where would you choose and what would you buy?
The temperature has dropped dramatically in the past week and I definitely wasn’t prepared for it! It’s not quite cold enough to dig out the big winter coat, but chilly enough to add a few more layers.
I love nothing better than to wrap up in a chunky cardigan or cosy jumper in winter, so have been looking for some great buys.
Here’s what I love:
What Knitwear have you been loving?
Pintrest is the perfect way for you to collect and share all things beautiful found on the web. You can plan your wedding, put together outfits, re-design your home or even save all your favourite recipes in one place! It’s basically a virtual pin board.
I love this board put together by Laura Hobson on one of my favourite designers, Jenny Packham.
I will definitely be spending a lot of time playing with Pintrest!
I just had to write a quick note about how much I love Elie Saab’s unique website http://www.eliesaab.com. I think the idea of having a catwalk video as the background to the whole site is forward thinking and a great way to display their gorgeous fashion. My wish list piece would have to be this pink fully embroidered short dress with bow leather belt. What a show stopper!
The weather is absolutely AWFUL at the moment and we still haven’t had a chance to shoot our engagement session. The other half jokingly suggested we hire a vintage car for the shoot and he couldn’t believe his luck when I said why not! So we have picked a day and pray for a little bit of sunshine.
I have been in my element “styling” us for the shoot and have gone for a vintage feel to match the car. The first outfit is a peachy pink lace and pleat dress complimented by a sequin butterfly scarf – both from Oasis.
The second outfit is a pretty floral print shift dress by Therapy at House of Fraser which I will dress down with a cropped denim jacket from H&M.
